21st Annual Bakersfield ASSP Symposium - Virtual Event

The 21st Annual Symposium will be held on Wednesday, March 24th, 2021 and will be a Virtual Event.

In terms of logistics, all 2020 Symposium registrations have been rolled over to the 2022 Live Symposium and everyone who was registered for the 2020 Live event will receive complimentary admission to the 2021 Virtual Symposium. 

The Virtual Symposium will be hosted on the platform Pheedloop (https://pheedloop.com) and the presentations will be held through Zoom (https://zoom.us). For the best experience, we recommend that you join using a supported internet browser. You will not need to download any software to attend and the symposium can be accessed by computer or mobile device. Additional instructions for accessing the conference are forthcoming.

2021 Keynote Speaker - Dr. John Howard

Director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and the Administrator of the World Trade Center Health Program in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. 

Dr. Howard was first appointed NIOSH Director in 2002 during the George W. Bush Administration and served in that position until 2008. In September of 2009, Dr. Howard was again appointed NIOSH Director, and was reappointed for a third six-year term in 2015. 

Prior to his appointments as NIOSH Director and WTC Health, Dr. Howard served as Chief of the Division of Occupational Safety and Health in the State of California’s Labor and Workforce Development Agency from 1991 through 2002.
